Avanafil

Avanafil is a PDE5 inhibitor medication used to treat erectile dysfunction. Its primary advantage is a rapid onset of action, with many patients able to engage in sexual activity within 15 minutes of ingestion.
Approved by the FDA in 2012 and the EMA in 2013, it is marketed under brand names such as Stendra and Spedra. Like similar drugs (sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil), it works by inhibiting the phosphodiesterase type 5 enzyme in the penile tissues.
